The Gartrell Group has a long and valued work history with the many practitioners and end-users of GIS at Portland Public Schools (PPS). A new chapter in this relationship began in February of 2018 when our cloud services team helped PPS plan, implement, and begin using a brand new Esri GIS platform deployed on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform.

In this new arrangement, Gartrell provides ongoing monitoring, management, and administrative support for the district’s cloud GIS, relieving PPS’s IT staff of the burden of caring for the specialized GIS software and systems. We service the PPS team with a digital service desk and our management commitments are guaranteed in a mutually executed service level agreement (SLA).

So far, the feedback is positive and “workflows are way more efficient and performant!”
