Performance Atlas

GIS and Laserfiche Integration

We read about it before too, but it seems the copy may have been more about creative writing and vapor ware than something you’d want to put your name on. The good news is that if you’re using ESRI software that’s been updated in the last ten years, there’s now an integration solution for Laserfiche document management and GIS. Big credit goes to Preston Beck and Nathan Schaub of Tigard, OR for much of the creative thinking and collaboration behind this solution.

  • Automatically extract location references from scanned documents
  • Use ArcMap or ArcServer as a visual interface for document retrieval
  • Maintain an accurate and current spatial representation of key business documents…it works!!

Tracking Control Activities for Invasive Plant Species

12fish0509Controlling invasive, non-native weeds is a leading concern in ecosystem management.  Invasive species are recognized by land managers and scientists as one of the primary threats to biodiversity, plant community structure, and ecosystem processes.  Aquatechnex is services firm focused controlling invasive species in water bodies.
Aquatechnex engaged the Gartrell Group to configure a Performance Atlas® that could be updated in real-time to reflect the progress of their work. They have used the Atlas to communicate with area residents and project stakeholders about the status of their management activity and related usage restrictions in affected areas of lakes and rivers.
